Chandra Kirana Prijosusilo has, throughout her career of 25 years, focused on efforts to improve human wellbeing and ecological sustainability. She has worked in various sectors including sustainable agriculture, forestry, chemical pollution reduction and prevention, on transparency and accountability in the oil and gas industry, and finally on capitalizing on culture and biodiversity for economic development.
Lately her conviction has been that to turn the economy green but still able to grow, countries like Indonesia need to draw on not only their natural resources, but also on their cultural wealth. She explores her ideas through projects on the ground, including through Yayasan Sekar Kawung, and also through writing.
She holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Gadjah Mada.
